Original artwork description:

This painting is inspired by the Kelp forests that grow in cold, clear water and support thousands of types of marine species. Giant Bladder Kelp can grow to more than 100 feet or 30 metres tall and is anchored down by root like structures called 'Holdfasts' which grab on to rocks on the seabed. I particularly like the way Kelp dances around due to the fact that it grows in turbulent water. If you have any questions about this painting please click the 'Contact' button
