Mercedes W11
Close up painting of super-sub George Russell in his W11. Although he was robbed of victory in Bahrain, Russell produced an outstanding, committed and overall exciting drive in his one-off appearance for Mercedes. This piece is to celebrate his performance and his first points scored in F1. I was fascinated by the amazing range of reflections seen on the black Mercedes, under the night floodlights. I have depicted the combination of cool greens/blues contrasting with the warm yellows/reds seen on the W11.
