Portal I is an abstract-expressionist work that functions as a visual gateway into an intense, fragmented inner space. Dense layers of color — corrosive, incandescent reds, vibrant oranges, and smoky greys — overlap in a tense dynamic, creating the impression of a passage between two worlds: the material and the emotional.
