Artwork description
After admiring this gate on a Sunday walk, I settled into making this painting over the Monday and Tuesday. The gate had been sculpted by the dairy cows at Gurnards Head and possibly a hurried tractor. But it kept the cows in still so why change it? The stone houses beyond these very small stone wall enclosed fields, seemed to grow out of the earth just as the random rocks did.
Materials used:
The ink is pure pigment based and the best on the market. We use the highest quality archival Hahnemule paper. Hahnemühle’s Photo Rag Smooth® is a white 100% cotton paper
