My inspiration for this painting was the beautiful landscaped garden of Stangate House, in the Adelaide Hills township of Aldgate. Painted en plein air, and finished in the studio.
Established in the 1940’s, the four acre garden is home to one of Australia’s largest oak trees, and recognised by the International Camellia Society in 2012 as an International Camellia Garden of Excellence.
