This artwork explores the profound transformation of identity through emigration. After four years of living in the Netherlands, I began to examine how life abroad subtly reshapes one’s mentality and sense of self. This inner shift became the foundation of this series, where I symbolically fused Dutch and Ukrainian visual traditions.

This series is a dialogue between two distinct worlds: the refined aesthetics of historic Delft ceramics and the explosive floral energy of Ukrainian folk art, inspired by the 20th-century visionary Hanna Sobachko-Shostak. I found a deep emotional connection in how both traditions use blue and white to express vitality and heritage. This painting is a modern fusion of these roots, reflecting my personal journey of emigration and the blending of two cultural identities.
