GalaxyAcrylic painting by Joyce Fournier

I have always been inspired by the use of Gold, White, and Black and how these colors interact with one another when used together in an acrylic pour. In this process, the paint is poured onto the canvas and is then manipulated through movement and other techniques to result in an unexpected outcome over several hours to a few days (depending on dry time)

There are several layers of paint in this work. One layer envelopes another with paint flowing in random directions leading to an eclectic paradise of textures and visual nuances

The paint has been allowed to spill over the sides of the canvas to emphasize the immediacy of the technique

A high gloss varnish has been applied to protect the work and provide a glass-like finish

This painting, signed on the back, is ready to hang with wire attached. While it is displayed here in a vertical fashion, it also works nicely when hung horizontally
