Artist's description:

In the agrarian traditions of Old Europe, as well as in the early farming settlements in America, each full moon had a name. The name was based on the cycles and activities of the natural world both plant and animal. I used Basswood for my woodblock for its fine grain. The print is unique, printed only once on composition gold leaf with water based ink. The print is signed and titled on the front.

Materials used:

black ink on 100% rag paper, composition gold leaf

"Full Buck Moon - July" (2006)
