Frozen Peaks of Dawn and Dusk is a diptych of two semi-abstract mountain landscapes, created using my original technique of inverse monotype combined with rich oil textures. Inspired by the dramatic contrast between the first light of dawn and the fading glow of dusk, this pair of paintings captures the ever-changing moods of nature’s frozen giants.

Each panel is built up with layers of thick, expressive oil paint applied with a palette knife, creating dynamic textures that invite the viewer to experience the tactile beauty of the surface. The interplay of deep blues, icy whites, and bold flashes of crimson reflects the shifting light as day meets night — a frozen moment suspended in time.

Depending on the light and the viewer’s imagination, the diptych can reveal new depths and nuances, making it a living, breathing piece of art for any interior. The two paintings can be displayed together as a powerful statement or individually as standalone pieces.
