Moonrise Kingdom is the name of a house in Woodstock, New York that I rented with my wife and kids in June 2018. We loved sitting on the porch everyday for morning coffee and tea. On the morning this painting was made it was bright but lightly raining and since gouache doesn't like rain in the least I stayed under the porch and made this little painting of our Subaru sitting in the driveway.
