In the modern era, our identity is no longer a single, cohesive entity. It has become a mosaic of digital traces. This work explores the tension between our authentic selves and the curated personas we project through social media platforms.
The human face—the traditional window to the soul—is here fragmented and viewed through the literal lens of app icons. Each platform (VK, Google, Instagram, Twitter) captures only a sliver of our reality, filtering our emotions and experiences into a standardized interface. The blue, pixelated background symbolizes the digital 'ether' where we increasingly reside.
Who are we when the screen turns off? This painting leaves the viewer to guess what lies beneath the icons, highlighting the growing gap between our digital image and our true, physical presence
