Foxglove Fandango is full of life, movement, and rhythm, it’s one of those paintings that practically danced its way into being. I wanted to capture that wild, joyful feeling of a garden bursting with foxgloves and colour in every direction. The piece is painted in acrylic and oil across two canvas panels, creating a large diptych that measures 180 x 120 cm in total. I love working on this scale because it gives me room to throw paint, build layers, and let the flowers grow naturally out of the chaos. The foxgloves rise through splashes of magenta, coral, and soft white, giving the whole piece a sense of motion and celebration. It’s expressive and a little bit untamed; the kind of painting that brings energy and warmth into a room and feels like a celebration of the wild beauty of nature.
