With this piece, I wanted to pull the viewer into the invisible, structural energy of a wild field. 'The Architecture of Pollen' is my exploration of the hidden strength within the delicate, the way life builds itself upward with a frantic, beautiful precision.
On this large scale canvas, I treated the paint as a living force. I wanted the deep purples of the foxgloves to feel like pillars, holding up a sky filled with the 'anarchy' of spring. The splatters and energetic linework aren't just accents; they represent the microscopic chaos of pollination, the invisible blueprints of nature taking flight.
I see this work as a tension between the rigid and the fluid. By balancing the heavy, grounded stems against the weightless, fractured atmosphere of the background, I’ve tried to capture the moment where biology becomes art. It’s a piece about the massive power contained in the smallest particles of life. It is wild, untamed and beautiful.
