- Formulae for life
Original artwork description
I was hopeless at chemistry/ physics and maths at school, but strangely, I do love to look at calculus. I find equations and formulae quite beautiful - shapes and patterns foreign to me.
I asked this retired chemistry teacher to write out a favourite chemical formula to bring with him to his sitting. He chose photosynthesis because it's absolutely necessary for life.
I have painted this in his own handwriting, and it is coated with fluorescent paint so glows in the dark.
He has a background consisting of very basic cell structure.
Signed in paint on the front, pen on the back.
Materials used:
Oil and acrylic
Details:
- Oil painting on Canvas
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 61 x 91 x 1.9cm (unframed)
- Ready to hang
- Signed on the front
- Style: Photorealistic
- Subject: People and portraits
