Forest Lights is part of a new square-canvas series where every work is built from a field of three-dimensional oil “pixels” in a single hue, punctuated by tiny bursts of contrasting color that sparkle like hidden lanterns. In this piece, a rich bottle-green sea of sculpted squares provides a velvety, forest-floor backdrop, while a handful of jewel-toned pixels—ruby red, sapphire blue, citrine yellow—gleam through like dappled sunlight shining among the trees. The effect is at once meditative and alive, as if you’ve stepped into a secret grove illuminated by quiet, flickering lights.
