This painting is about that moment when everything seems to arrive at once. Colour, feeling and energy all building together until it feels almost impossible to separate one from the other. It’s inspired by that overwhelming sense of love that comes suddenly, fully and without hesitation.
The daisies in the foreground are painted in oil, with a more detailed and delicate approach that brings a sense of softness and calm to the composition. In contrast, the upper layers are created using acrylic, with expressive splashes and gestural marks that move freely across the surface. For me, this work is about hope and happiness and those unexpected perfect days.
