The impressionist painting shows a majestic old oak tree standing on the shore of the tranquil Bärensee lake. Its gnarled trunk and overhanging branches convey a sense of permanence and tranquillity. The oak is bathed in warm, golden light - rays of sunlight break through the canopy of leaves, casting dancing reflections on the ground and highlighting the autumnal foliage in vibrant shades of yellow, orange and red.
