A soft palette of mauves and pinks with a mid cobalt blue background. Overall a peaceful and calm atmosphere.
The painting shows soft blooms of lilac amidst stiffer stems of weigela flowers and leaves. Behind can be seen the suggestion of another easel in the studio.
I only use artist quality paints because the colours are so important for me.
