The painting depicts different kinds of flowers in a beautiful silver ice bowl.
My approach in painting:
When I paint from life I try to be confident with my brush stroke. I think about my colors and values, I check them very much and also trust my instinct about them.
There are many different approaches to working with a brush. I don't think there is any specific, precisely defined way to move the brush across the canvas.
I strive to have two things on the surface: texture: not everything should be smooth as a mirror, but the trace of the brush movement should be visible to the naked eye.
The second is for the texture to be "abstract": when the brush moves in any irregular way across the canvas, without any predetermined path.
The strokes are chaotic in order to get an abstract look.
