Original artwork description
This piece is a celebration of the moment a wild garden stops being still and starts to sing! In Sun-Struck Symphony, I wanted to capture the electric "hum" of midsummer. By layering delicate, light-filled daisies and tall, reaching irises against a backdrop of gestural washes, I’ve created a composition that feels like it’s in a constant state of becoming. Technically, this work is an exploration of "controlled collision." I use aggressive, rhythmic ink splatters and spontaneous drip techniques to represent the chaotic pulse of nature, which I then balance with the soft, deliberate precision of the petals. This juxtaposition creates a sophisticated "push-pull" effect, ensuring the eye never rests in just one place. For me, the beauty is in the breach; the places where the paint cuts through the gold and violet to reveal the "unruly heart" of the meadow. This artwork reflects my belief that there is profound harmony to be found in the untamed. It is an invitation to find your own serenity right in the center of the beautiful mess. Due to its size Sun-Struck Symphony ships rolled in a tube, this is safer for the artwork in transit. Your local picture framers can easily re stretch the artwork to hang.
