Original artwork description:

From the power of a germ, the flower grows together with stem and leaf, and after a while falls apart again. In this new mixed media series I am looking for images in which bloom and decay merge into one. These are works with flowing lines of the flower stems, parts of flowers and wafer-thin paper-like leaves. Teis works as a photographic artist and regularly exhibits in the Netherlands. He is known for his works with strong graphic composition, shadows, some mystery and a nostalgic atmosphere. A continuous exploration of composition, form, emotion and texture.

Materials used:

canvas, paint, chalk, ink
