Original artwork description:

Floral Aftershock is one of those paintings that felt electric from the very first layer. I wanted to capture that moment when nature feels alive and unstoppable; when colour, energy, and movement collide. Painted in acrylic and oil across two canvases (each 90 x 120 cm), this diptych measures 180 x 120 cm in total. It can be hung side by side for a seamless flow or with a little space between for a more dramatic effect. I love working large; it lets me move freely and really pour myself into the process. The flowers here came to life through splashes, drips, and bold marks that felt instinctive rather than planned. There’s a rhythm to it, like the chaos after a storm when everything glows brighter. This painting is expressive, layered, and full of life; a reminder that beauty often comes from wild, unexpected energy.

Materials used:

Oil and acrylic on canvas
