Figure in Stone (2026) Photograph by Brandon LeValley

63.5 x 88.9 x 0.25cm (unframed) / 59.69 x 85.09cm (actual image size)

£591.04

Rising from shadow, this formation presents itself as both landscape and figure—its mass shaped by time, yet suggesting something almost human in its presence. Light moves across the surface with restraint, revealing density, texture, and the quiet force of accumulated erosion.

Set against a deep black field, the surrounding environment falls away, isolating the form and removing all sense of place. What remains is a study in mass and presence—where stone reads less as terrain and more as sculpture, shaped not by intention, but by time itself.

This work continues an exploration of geological form as sculptural abstraction, where natural processes reveal structure, weight, and an unexpected sense of identity.
