I came across these pink and yellow flowers in a Dutch field in the Zeeland region.!and found them a nice contrast to the dark green of the trees beyond, emphasized by the thundery greyness of the sky. The overall stillness is interrupted only by a few seagulls overhead. They are never far away in the Netherlands, even if you are not standing at the edge of the sea. The colourful field is in contrast to the sky and, as I painted at the edge of the field. I could feel the electricity in the air before the thunderstorm.
