Original artwork description
This painting was started in the New Forest near Lyndhurst. It was painted in Autumn just below a bracken covered slop rising to a birch topped hill. While I was painting a herd of fallow deer appeared above the hill, I managed to take a few photographs before they ran off. I later added them to the painting. The frame is off white, quite plain and modern but could always be changed if required.
