Stone Pines cast dramatic shadows and create a cathedral sanctuary-like space at the Villa Doria Pamphilj in Rome...
I love the warm afternoon sunlight and breezes that filter through the hilltop parks around Rome. As a graduate student, I spent a semester in the Eternal City exploring and sketching public spaces on a daily basis. Whenever the cacophony of Central Rome got to be too much, I would escape to the hills and wander through parks and under pines such as these.
