"There is a world between the first pencil stroke and the last one. A universe that I ignore the meaning, the subtleties and what he wants to tell.
I don’t know anything until he was born and revealed in the world.
This parallel world is as detached from me and at the same time completely integrated. This world wants to live its life outside of me and is created with my complicity.
This is also why I feel my paintings as I no longer belong to me as soon as I put down the last line.”
