Original artwork description:

Everytime We See Each Other Is The Last Time

Based on a digital drawing of Bergers Opuntia done at the Cactus House of the Berlin Botanical Gardens. I find working from a digital drawing compared to a photo or physical sketch creates an imperfect translation process, which for me is satisfying. Furthermore, it makes me work harder with colour and vibrancy, to compete with the backlit screen reference.

The title is from the diary on that day and ties into my artistic practice of working with moods and emotional states.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint on canvas
