I love to visit the Eifel region which straddles Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg. The region is known for its beautiful nature where picturesque villages nestle between low mountains. Kronenburg is a particularly pretty village and I painted this scene on location on a lovely warm summer evening there, capturing this winding lane between the historic buildings in watercolour.
