This painting is inspired by my personal memories of visiting Étretat, one of the most iconic coastal landscapes in Normandy. Standing before these cliffs, I was struck not only by their physical presence, but by their quiet emotional weight — a feeling that remained with me long after the journey.

While I was inspired by the legacy of Monet, who once painted these same cliffs, my goal was to translate this place through my own visual language. I avoided detailed realism, instead focusing on atmosphere, color, and sensation — the cool air, the muted light, and the slow rhythm of the sea.

Soft transitions of blue and turquoise create a sense of depth and calm, while the monumental arch emerges like a memory itself — stable, yet dissolving into time. The visible brushwork and layered acrylic surface give the painting a living, breathing quality.

This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting that will bring a sense of tranquility, space, and quiet reflection into any interior. Ideal for collectors who appreciate contemporary landscape painting rooted in impressionist tradition yet expressed in a modern, personal way.
