Original artwork description
The artist thus develops a visual poetics imbued to the essence of substance and matter in which her women live the dream of the canvas. Sinuous figures face the two-dimensional space, rhythmically filling every available centimeter and erasing time. Dream, therefore, not as an ideal atmosphere but as a suspended dimension where spacetime is distorted and actresses float on the surface, deceiving the viewer with a faint contact. They are free but at the same time light, almost throbbing in their fragility. In most of the paintings, it is not possible to distinctly perceive the painted woman. She comes towards us, then withdraws. She observes us, then we lose contact. She is elusive.
