This is a mixed media painting designed to be a comment about finding a balance in life. It This painting is about how frantic and stressful modern life can be when there are so many demands on our time and attention with our phones, the internet, traffic, noise, high rise buildings etc and the background is painted to represent this.
There is still a way to escape to peace by being surrounded by nature and also by spiritual pursuits such as yoga and meditation. I’ve included flowers, leaves, a buddha and a mandala to represent this. The colours are beautiful and the textures and layers of the different mediums as well as the colours and subject matter give it a variety of interest.
