Atmospheric and lush with green, this semi abstract oil painting depicts the sun sinking over this Yorkshire landscape.
The warm glow as the sun dips, leaves the Moorlands in the foreground in the cool light of the approaching evening. Drystone walls line the horizon, and cross the layered green landscape of the fields. This artwork recreates an atmosphere of the green outdoors and crisp, clean air of the countryside. The sky is deeply coloured by the warm oranges of the setting sun.
The rich texture of the oil paints is visible, due to the use of both palette knife and brushwork, used to create this piece, on stretched linen canvas.
