This painting is inspired by quiet walks through a meadow garden on country side. Soft greens, light purple and gentle yellows fill the landscape, while wild flowers appear, bloom, and fade with time. The garden holds a sense of calm, movement, and quiet beauty.
The title Forget Me Not reflects a feeling of memory and connection. Like moments in life, the meadow is always changing, yet something of it stays with us. It speaks of holding on to what is meaningful, even as time moves forward.
Thick layers of oil give depth to the sky, while textured impasto, blended with acrylic, brings the flowers to life. Some areas are rough and layered, revealing traces beneath the surface, like memories that remain. This work is about nature, time, and the quiet hope that what we love is never truly lost.
