This artwork emerges from long walks through the shifting seasons. A wild meadow stirs in the tender morning light, its soft greens and pale yellows dotted with delicate daisies, lupines, and other blooms. As the days warm, the palette deepens into richer spring and summer tones, and cow parsnip and other meadow flowers appear, flourish, and fade.
Thick layers of oil shape the sky, while impasto textures, blended with acrylic, bring the flowers vividly to life, worked firmly into the surface. Textured, grainy, and subtly cracked areas reveal glimpses of hidden blooms beneath, suggesting time and memory. The paint captures not just a single view, but the rhythm and movement of a season unfolding—a journey through light, growth, and the quiet passage of time.
