Artwork description:

Emergence, reflects the internal struggle that is an integral part of human nature.

Here the left hand of the figure pulls the veil tight; symbolic of the insecurities and inner demons that prevent her from emerging. Simultaneously, her right hand seeks to pull the veil away; the desire to emerge as a better version of herself refusing to be repressed.

Which hand will prevail?

Emergence, is cast in Bronze as a Limited Edition of 7 figures. This is the final Edition of the series. Patination is in traditional chestnut Bronze with a verdigris and white veil. The figure is mounted on a Red Sandstone base with a mirror polished copper plate. Subtle work to the patina reveals highlights of the coppery colour of the bronze beneath.

Materials used:

Bronze, Mirror Polished Stainless Steel, Kirkstone Slate
