Artwork description:

Emergence, reflects the internal struggle that is an integral part of human nature.

Here the left hand of the figure pulls the veil tight; symbolic of the insecurities and inner demons that prevent her from emerging. Simultaneously, her right hand seeks to pull the veil away; the desire to emerge as a better version of herself refusing to be repressed.

Which hand will prevail?

Emergence, is cast in Bronze as a Limited Edition of 7 figures. This edition, number 6 of 7, has a patina of Phoenician Haematite Red with an Egyptian Blue coloured pigment overlay, reminiscent of the colours of the Minoan Frescos at Knossos. Subtle work to the patina reveals highlights of the coppery colour of the bronze beneath. Kirkstone Slate Plinth with Mirror Polished Copper.

Materials used:

Bronze, Mirror Polished Stainless Steel, Kirkstone Slate
