Original artwork description:

In creating this piece I have captured the quiet atmosphere of a mystical forest. I’ve drawn on elements of impressionism to suggest a calm, reflective place in nature, something that feels peaceful and a little dreamlike. Soft greens and gentle light blend together to form a sense of freshness and serenity that can bring a soothing energy to any space.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork, painted with acrylics on a circular canvas. My process usually begins outdoors: observing the location, taking notes, and gathering photographs to reference back in the studio. From there, I work intuitively, starting with brush-painted base layers, then building depth with palette-knife impasto. I use optical colour-mixing techniques inspired by the impressionists, along with traditional methods like scumbling and glazing. I keep adjusting and layering until the painting feels complete in a natural, unforced way.
The finished piece sits somewhere between abstraction and realism. The painting continues around the edges and it is signed on the side, so no frame is needed, it's ready to hang. For display purposes, it has been photographed against a white background.
