Original artwork description:

Landscape created from drawing the edge and through a hole in a slab of Welsh elm. I have turned the work around and like it this way, but it also looks good turned around . It felt like a receding plane landscape and parts became very fluid when i used the eraser; so there is a watery feel. The repeated hole pattern is achieved with graphite pencil so has a shiny feel, and looks alien over the landscape.

Materials used:

charcoal sticks, graphite pencils, erasers.
