Original artwork description
Saint-Petersburg. New Year Night. Eliseevsky Shop
United by theme and time of day - in a twilight tone, landscapes give the viewer a joyful mood. Looking at the canvas, you notice something that you did not see in the midst of pre-holiday sales. In this cycle, cosmopolitanism common to modern people, which until recently you could only dream of, was fully revealed. Today we celebrate Catholic Christmas in London, tomorrow we celebrate the New Year in Moscow, and the day after tomorrow we will wait with bated breath for the first Christmas star in St. Petersburg. The heady atmosphere of the holiday is mixed with the desire to expand opportunities. This impulse, characteristic of Russian society as a whole, is reflected in the work of one of its representatives.
