Portrait of Sue Hooper MBE.
This wonderful lady was awarded an MBE for her charitable work...founder of the Sue Hooper Foundation, in which she helps fund young peoples' journey to a career in the arts.
This sitting was shortly after she celebrated her 80th birthday, I produced two paintings...the other of which I gifted to Sue.
I love her glamour, her tumble of dyed orange hair, her style...accessorised to the max. Never without her red lipstick ( which is applied frequently), always dressed as if she were attending a red carpet event. Sue is an incredibly kind, gentle person, and I feel that is evident in the portrait.
