Original artwork description:

Painted during the Dłużew Plein Air in Poland. Sitting in the tall grass, I was listening to a pheasant’s sharp calls, trying not to scare it away. It was maybe ten meters from me. It walked off before I could even think of painting it, but in that same spot I found something else — a quiet scene that caught my attention.

Before me stood an electric pole and a tall tree, both solitary, separated from everything else. Because of that isolation, the relation between them felt almost personal. To me, it became a metaphor — civilisation or technology looking at the nature they once left behind. And the other way around – nature, standing apart, maybe superior, maybe indifferent.

Exhibited at the post-plein-air exhibition and the end-of-year Academy show.

The painting is ready to hang and will be delivered in secure, multi-layered packaging, insured and tracked to ensure its safety during transport. Each work comes with a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity, confirming its originality.

Materials used:

Oil paint on canvas
