Edmond de Rothschild Paris Park (2019) Original Oil Painting by Gav Banns
22 x 27 x 0.3cm (unframed) / 22 x 27cm (actual image size)
£379
Original artwork description
This is from the Japanese section of the Edmond de Rothchild Park in Boulogne Billancourt (created in 1860), sitting on the edge of Paris. It's a park I used to frequent, watching people feed the coypu with carrots, and terrapins wrestling with ducks and fish for scraps of bread.
It is painted very much in the impressionist tradition with small impasto strokes of broken colour, on canvasboard (canvas mounted to board for added rigidity).
Materials used:
Oil paints (Rembrandt, Old Holland, Winsor & Newton, Gamblin, lefranc & bourgeois)
Details:
- Oil painting on Canvas
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 22 x 27 x 0.3cm (unframed) / 22 x 27cm (actual image size)
- Signed on the front
- Style: Impressionistic
- Subject: Flowers and plants
