This is a view of the centre of Edinburgh from a vantage point in the Botanical Gardens. In the immediate foreground are the branches and individual leaves of trees and in the middle ground are the tops of trees. The skyline is of Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile leading down from it. I wanted to communicate the drama of this fine city skyline.
