I am pleased to present my new painting, "Images. Meditative Visions of Imagination."

In my work, I often draw inspiration from a person I've met in real life, or an image that could be a character from a movie or a book. I try to translate that impression into painterly forms and blocks of color. I must confess, it doesn't always work out the way it started—the person who initially inspired the piece often disappears, and a different figure emerges. This artwork features a wide range of characters, from movie figures to ancient statues; they reveal themselves like colors in a child's kaleidoscope, appearing and vanishing. This is exactly how my art is born, piece by piece, like a mosaic.

The notes written around the images feel like attempts at identification. Each face exists in the space between a portrait and disappearance, between observation and fiction.
