Echo of White (2025) Original Acrylic Painting by Amrish Malvankar

Painted on location in the salt marshes of the Rann of Kutch ( Gujrat ,India ), “Echo of White” The Style of work belongs to my 2019 “Serenity” , created during a time of reflection on stillness and spatial calm. The landscape’s infinite whiteness, its subtle tonal shifts and quiet atmosphere, became both subject and metaphor. Working directly within this vast terrain, I found that the act of painting turned inward, less about capturing the view and more about attuning to its rhythm. Each line and wash became a response to the air, the light, and the faint hum of silence that seemed to fill the space. The result is an echo-soft, distant, and endlessly open.
