two figures 1-17-21 is a large scale double female figure study on canvas in oils using a muted palette contrasting with areas of vibrant colour. The work is painted with a fluid application of paint, staining and stripping back to allow areas of raw canvas to be visible. The work is a continuation in his interest in the notion of change and impermanence as the figure begins to dissolve into the background.
Artwork signed on the back and includes a certificate of authenticity.
