Original artwork description
I love to paint still life in a way which introduces an element of abstraction. Here, the original painting was more or less covered over then scrapped back to reveal layers beneath. The use of a palette knife introduces minimal texture and a contemporary vibe to an otherwise evocative painting.
This painting is sold unframed but is suitable to do so should you wish. I do not varnish my paintings , as I prefer the slightly chalky look of the oils as laid down. If you would like it varnished before sending, I can do so at no extra cost.
The painting is signed, dated and titled on the reverse and initialled on the front ( not show in the images).
I ship internationally using an insured, tracked and signed for service. Please note that payment of import duty/tax is the responsibility of the buyer.
