In this painting I revisit the classical still life through a contemporary lens. The bouquet of sunflowers and gerberas is not only a floral motif, but also a reflection on strength and fragility, permanence and transience. The dripping background blurs the line between figuration and abstraction, opening a dialogue between control and spontaneity.

In my work I use a combination of expressive lines and bold color fields. I explore the physical properties of acrylic paint — its transparency, layering, and flow — to create depth, movement, and a sense of transformation. This allows the painting to remain dynamic, even within the tradition of still life.
