This painting has a surreal and at the same time ironic impression. In this work, one can read a deep satire: a criticism of hypocrisy, pretense, the roles that people (or characters) try on in order to hide their true essence. Chicken in a Fox Mask is a reversal of traditional roles, an absurdity that makes us think about how often in life we see not who someone really is, but who they want to appear to be. Canvas, oil. Covered with protective varnish and signed on the front and back of the canvas.
