Original artwork description
This is the largest painting in the Fruit of the Spirit collection and examines the more general spiritual theme. Canyons are known to symbolise the depths of the human soul with their many complexities and layers.
This work was rendered in three main stages. As the abstract oil painter, I completed several layers, including one which had fluid art (created using mineral essence) and then began to build dynamic layers of mist in the next stages. The fine artist Joanna Charlotte - who is also my younger sister - collaborated in the middle stage to paint the canyons. The final part of this epic painting's journey was more mist to soften the canyons and to represent the Holy Spirit.
